After serving his country in WW2,
Mister B., the real-life father behind My Father's Best, spent the rest of his life serving from the kitchen.
The man was the original foodie, a true believer in creative cooking.
When he wasn’t cooking Italian classics for guests at his famous Chicago restaurant,
Mr. B. learned how to prepare a number of dishes across a variety of cuisines.
He then spent 30 years tweaking, experimenting and refining hundreds of recipes to create his own
personal versions of some of the world’s best loved dishes. That’s how he landed on the pizza sauce
that helped make his restaurant one of the best loved Italian restaurants in Chicago.
Mr. B’s spirit of creative cooking is the inspiration behind our

Our team of chefs explored dozens of popular, time-tested recipes, making modifications here
and there to create dishes worthy of the name My Father Best.
